The Council of the European Union (EU) and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The EHDS aims to facilitate patients' access to and control over their personal digital health data. NFDI4Health considers this development to be a significant step for the future of our health research.

NFDI4Health opens its Friday Lecture on 5 April 2024 on the topic of the Health Data Utilization Act (GDNG). Prof. Dr. Dennis-Kenji Kipker will provide information on innovations and special features of the law and give insights into the controversies. The lecture will take place online and is open4all.
The NUM Convention hosted renowned experts in the fields of politics, medicine and science in Berlin from 17 to 18 January 2024. Juliane Fluck from NFDI4Health gave a flashtalk in the Grand Challenge 3. She presented NFDI4Health and our services as a key structure for FAIR health research data.
Fraunhofer SCAI has developed the new syndat software. It enables the statistical evaluation of synthetic data in comparison to real data and ensures the secure handling of patient data.
