On the first day of the Base4NFDI User Conference (UC4B) held on 20 and 21 November 2024 in Berlin, the foundational services were presented in their initialisation phase. The Base4NFDI services include, solutions for data management, long-term storage, and authentication and authorisation instruments. Around 250 participants were given insights into the development of these services and complementary offerings. Johanna Liebig, Marisabel Gonzalez-Ocanto, and Sofia Siampani represented NFDI4Health at the event. A highlight was the "Poster Madness", an interactive exchange on exciting topics related to data infrastructures and research services.

The second day focused on the integration phase, where the services are further developed and incorporated into existing infrastructures. For NFDI4Health, some tools, such as IAM4NFDI, are already firmly planned and are gradually being integrated into operational use. A particularly interesting presentation was of the new offerings, including ASSURED – a training and certification programme for the secure handling of sensitive data.

NFDI4Health looks forward to continued collaboration with Base4NFDI as an important link between the discipline-specific NFDI consortia. The solutions and tools presented offer promising approaches to further advancing digitalisation and networking in healthcare!
