The aim of the workshop is to develop a concept for participatory research in the management of health data and corresponding structures. A particular focus is on how citizens and patients can be actively involved in research and communication processes within the NFDI4Health initiatives.

NFDI4Health opens its Friday Lecture on Friday, 28th March 2025, on the topic "Legal Framework for Secure and Data-Efficient Research Data Processing". Dennis-Kenji Kipker will explain the challenge of using health data for scientific purposes while ensuring data protection, and will introduce appropriate tools to balance these needs. The next meeting of the TMF AG Data Quality and Transparency will focus on the planning of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the concept of a European Data Quality Label.

Biomedical researchers work with a wide range of data - from clinical or epidemiological study data organised in tabular form to image data and genomic sequences. This diversity is also reflected within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). Five consortia serve as contact points for biomedical research.
