On 13 March 2024 members of NFDI4Health will meet with representatives of the German Bundestag and other experts from the health sector in Berlin. The role of record linkage for a better prevention, treatment and care of our society will be discussed at a parliamentary breakfast. NFDI4Health recently published a white paper on record linkage, i.e. the linkage of health data at a personal level. The white paper describes the potential of record linkage for answering unresolved research questions, illustrates the current technical and legal hurdles and identifies cross-national solutions. Explicit recommendations to the legislator are also formulated. Now Wolfgang Ahrens, Iris Pigeot and Timm Intemann from the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS as well as Sebastian C. Semler and Knut Kaulke from the TMF - Technology and Methods Platform have been invited to a parliamentary breakfast in Berlin to present their concept to politicians on behalf of NFDI4Health.
We are looking forward to the upcoming event and are excited about the important exchange with representatives from politics and health!
