The focus is on the presentation of the NFDI4Health citizen science projects and a subsequent discussion about participatory research. Together with project partners and the audience we want to discuss how citizen science and participation in health research is defined, how participation can be promoted and organized and which hurdles needs to be faced in this context. We raise the question: Can participatory research approaches address current challenges in health research?
