DataSHIELD is an open source software for analysing biomedical, health-related and social science data in compliance with data protection regulations. It makes it possible to carry out analyses without the data leaving its location. The data remains fully under the control of its primary custodians. NFDI4Health is involved in its development and dissemination of the DataSHIELD Service. 

We are pleased that NFDI4Health is represented at the DataSHIELD Conference 2024 with two exciting contributions:

Talk: DataSHIELD in NFDI4Health: Updates and challenges (Tuesday, 24 September, 14:35-15:30)
In this talk, Sofia Maria Siampani provides insights into the progress made by NFDI4Health in setting up a DataSHIELD infrastructure. She will give updates on the structures that have been developed, the challenges encountered by data holders and how these can be solved. 

Talk: Updates from DSFunctionCreator: Working towards coding and package conventions (Tuesday, 24 September, 16:45-17:25)
In this talk, Florian Schwarz presents current developments related to the dsFunctionCreator package. The Package supports developers in writing data-safe functions.
