FAIR – this term is familiar in everyday life, whether on the football pitch or in the chocolate section at the supermarket. Since 2016, people have also been talking about FAIR data in research. But when are data considered FAIR? Is there such a thing as UNFAIR data? And most importantly, how can I check my own data for FAIRness?

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Symposium took place from 21 to 23 October 2024 in Berlin. EOSC is an initiative by the European Union aimed at advancing open and digital science across Europe. NFDI4Health hosted an Unconference on the topic of data literacy.
The 9th Health-RI Conference took place on 10 October 2024 in Utrecht. The focus was on the harmonisation of health data and the improvement of collaboration within the European Health Data Space. The event was crucial for the future development of an integrated health data infrastructure.
The consortium meeting of NFDI4Health took place on 7th and 8th October 2024 in Potsdam. We reflected on the past year and set the course for future projects and our role in Europe. The days were characterised by intensive collaboration and open exchange!
On 11 and 12 September, the central network meeting of German data stewards took place in Aachen. This year, the focus of the conference was on building and strengthening networks in the community.
NFDI4Health can look back on a successful participation to the "Gesundheit Gemeinsam" event at the German Hygiene Museum Dresden. The conference, which attracted over 1800 participants, provided a central platform for the exchange of ideas on current developments in health research and data infrastructure.
