1. Workshop zur Ermittlung der Anforderungen an FAIRe Datenqualitätsindikatoren bei der DVMD2024
FAIRification of indicators used in local data quality assessments facilitates the implementation of distributed research projects. They also offer important opportunities for comparison to individual locations. Speakers from the MII showed how the concepts that are already created could be applied in practice in the first use cases. They further demonstrated how future collaboration could enrich the processes at a data integration center.
Organized by Christian Draeger, spokesperson for the data quality team of the MII metadata task force, the NFDI4Health speakers had the valuable opportunity to engage in direct exchange with scientists from a wide range of institutions and thus capture the exact requirements that FAIR data quality indicators must meet in practice.
We hope to be able to take the concept of data quality analysis based on FAIR indicators further and use the insights gained here to present concrete possibilities for implementation in future workshops. Until then, other interested parties can view the workshop content using the shared set of slides, follow the discussion in the workshop padlet or even get actively involved in further developments by completing a short survey.
2. Input presentation on HL7 FHIR in health research
NFDI4Health was also involved in contributing to the session "Standards and interoperability - where do we stand today?". Scientists from the interoperability team at the Berlin Institute for Health presented the NFDI4Health FHIR® profile, which can be used to map our metadata schema to other standards. Being able to harmonize metadata using a standardized procedure is an important challenge for FAIR health data. By presenting how the consortium proceeded to create the profile, the participants were shown in practice which steps are necessary to achieve interoperable metadata.
