NFDI4Health and GHGA strengthen cooperation

NFDI4Health and GHGA have reinforced their partnership with a Memorandum of Understanding. The memorandum outlines the shared objectives of the two professionally related consortia and is intended to deepen future cooperation. The planned measures address the needs of the research community and focus on the following core aspects:

1. Effective data exchange: To ensure effective exchange and optimal use of data from both initiatives, joint interfaces, standards, and data formats will be developed.

2. Data protection: Comprehensive guidelines and processes will be established to protect data, ensuring strict adherence to data protection laws as well as consideration of ethical principles in data usage.

3. Promotion of scientific innovation: The scientific progress should be accelerated by initiating new research projects. Additionally, a leading role will be taken in building FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) infrastructures in health research and genomics within the German and European health data space.
