Members of the NFDI consortia NFDI4Health, NFDI4BioDiversity, NFDI4Chem, NFDI4Earth, NFDI4BioImage, DataPlant, and FAIRagro gathered in Bremen from 27 to 28 May 2024. The two-day event provided a comprehensive overview of the participants and their expertise in the field of Geo-Chem-Life Science helpdesks. It became clear that the growing interdisciplinarity in research requires close collaboration across different fields.
As a representative of NFDI4Health, Birte Lindstädt participated in this meeting and presented the activities for a helpdesk. She described the planned support structures for the community and discussed future developments to achieve high performance and user-friendliness of the service.
The successful meeting in Bremen highlighted the importance of exchange between various disciplines and within the NFDI. As a result of the meeting, a competence matrix of the NFDI consortia and a workflow for forwarding inquiries were developed. The goal is to facilitate the easy forwarding of inquiries to the most suitable helpdesks.
