Data Train 2025: Training Programme on Data Literacy

Researchers in biomedicine and health must manage research data effectively and make informed decisions. NFDI4Health offers a modular training programme based on the FAIR principles, educating researchers in the fields of research data management and data science. The Data Train programme strengthens data literacy and encourages interdisciplinary exchange between institutions. The free introductory course provides both basic and advanced knowledge in data literacy, research data management, and data science. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the respective track. It is also possible to attend individual lectures. Iris Pigeot and Dennis-Kenji Kipker from NFDI4Health will be the programme's speakers.

The U Bremen Research Alliance, NFDI4Health, and other NFDI consortia developed the Data Train concept in 2021. Since 2023, the programme has been part of Data Nord, the interdisciplinary data competence centre of the Bremen region. The Starter Track programme for beginners will kick off with a ceremonial event on 15 January 2025.
