The expertise of NFDI4Health is strengthened by the broad expertise of the participants and the (scientific) community. A key step in identifying and addressing the needs of the user community is their direct involvement as participants or supporters in the development of health data infrastructures. Participants have the opportunity to propose and develop concrete projects to be implemented after approval by the NFDI4Health General Assembly.

To ensure and formalize the long-term active involvement of users and (international) developments in data science, a User Advisory Board (UAB) and a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) are part of the overall governance structure from NFDI4Health.
